The Port of Copenhagen is the main port for the Oresund region and also the region's gateway to the Baltic Sea. The Swedish city of Malmo jointly operates this commercial harbour with the city of Copenhagen, with the objective of providing port services to a population of over three million Swedes and Danes who live within a 97-km / 60-mile radius.
